history

After the duo hideco and tetsuhiko tried unsuccessfully to gain a foothold under the name Wev , the group renamed itself and chose the title of a song by their favorite band Oasis as the new name .

In December 2003, little by little released the third opening credits to the series Naruto, the first successful maxi single entitled Kanashimi wo yasashisa ni ( 悲 し み を や さ し さ に ), which reached number 4 in the Japanese singles charts and later also appeared in Germany the sampler Anime Nation No. 4 should be published. In April 2004, a second single, LOVE & PEACE, followed in August of the same year, the third, Ameagari no kyūna sakamachi ( 雨 上 が り の 急 な 坂 道 ), which was used as the music theme in the film Daisuki! Itsutsu ko 6 ( 大好 き! 五 つ 子 6 ) was used.

Before the debut album Sweet Noodle Pop was released in July 2005, two more singles were released: Synchro ( シ ン ク ロ ) in April, which was featured in the film Koi wa go-shichi-go! ( 恋 は 五 ・ 七 ・ 五! ) was used, as well as Hummingbird ( ハ ミ ン グ バ ー ド , English for hummingbird ) in June.

The debut album was produced by the band themselves and Shinohara Hirohito . Despite successful pre-single releases, such as the aforementioned opening song for the anime series Naruto , the album sold relatively slowly. It entered the Japanese album charts at number 85 and disappeared from the same two weeks after sales began. Nevertheless, it has been sold more than 500,000 times since then, which means that the first pressing is sold out. Repressions of the album are currently still being offered.

In 2007, the group reports back with the single Kimi monogatari ( キ ミ モ ノ ガ タ リ ), which can be heard as the credits for the series Naruto Shippūden before its release in early December of that year .
