Yakitate !! Japan

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Yakitate !! Japan ( Japanese焼 き た て !! ジ ャ ぱ ん) is a manga series by the illustrator Takashi Hashiguchi , which was also implemented as an anime . The work can be classified into the genres Comedy , Gourmet and Shōnen .

action

Kazuma Azuma discovered his love for baking bread as a small child. His dream is to bake Japan (pronounced: japan ), a bread that will represent Japan in the world. Because Germany has the rye bread , France the baguette , Great Britain the toast , but Japan does not yet have such bread.

In order to get a little closer to his dream, Kazuma tries to get a job in the main shop of the large back chain Pantasia . To do this, he must first pass an entrance examination. You will quickly notice your “solar hands”, which have a higher body temperature due to increased circulation and are therefore beneficial for kneading bread. Kyousuke Kawachi tries to abuse Kazuma for his own purposes, and Tsukino Azusagawa would like to have him in her own Pantasia store in the south of Tokyo .

Puns

The bread name Japan (ジ ャ ぱ ん) is a play on words, because pan (パ ン, but written with katakana instead of hiragana ) is the Japanese word for “bread”. There are always such ambiguities in the series, which mostly arise from Kazuma misunderstanding a word. For example, he interprets croissant (ク ロ ワ ッ サ ンkurowassan ) as Kurowa-san ( Mr. Kurowa ).
