The Lituolida are an order of shell -bearing, sea-dwelling protists from the group of foraminifera .
features
All kinds of order form agglutinated housings, i.e. housings made of collected particles that are either anchored in a protein or mineral-based matrix. The housings are multi-chambered, usually plane- spiral , rarely trochospiral or streptospiral, almost always spiral (only rarely in old age) and consistently built in series.
