Liu Yang (born October 29, 1986 ) is a Chinese shot putter .
Athletic career
Liu Yang gained his first international experience at the 2015 Asian Championships in Wuhan , where he finished fourth with 19.23 m. The following year he won the Asian Indoor Championships in Doha with 19.30 m in front of his compatriot Tian Zhizhong . At the beginning of September 2017 he was seventh at the Asian Indoor & Martial Arts Games in Ashgabat with 18.24 m. In 2018 he took part in the Asian Games in Jakarta for the first time and won the silver medal behind the Indian Tejinder Pal Singh with 19.52 m .
In 2014, 2015, and 2018, Liu became the Chinese Shot Put Champion.
