Liu Yuan (born September 7, 1985 in Si Chuan De Yang (China)) is a Chinese-born Austrian table tennis player . She became Austrian individual champion in 2014.

Career

Liu Yuan played in 2006 for the Dutch club Wijzenbeek Westa, then in Austria for Linz LZ Froschberg and in 2007 moved to Germany for TTC Langweid . Here she achieved a positive score of 25: 2 in the top pair cross in the 2007/08 season and thus played a major role in the women's team's ascent from second to the first division . In 2009 she returned to Linz.

In 2014 she won the Austrian championship in singles in the absence of the leading players Liu Jia and Sofia Polcanova . She also won the doubles title with Amelie Solja .

Private

Liu Yuan is married to Bian Yadong.
