Coat of arms of a mayor from the Liupold family

The Liupold were a patrician family in Heilbronn .

The Liupold family was first mentioned in Heilbronn in 1300. The family had close ties to the Reich and the Maulbronn Monastery and was probably already in Heilbronn during the Staufer period . A Liupold, son of the widow of the old mayor Konrad (mentioned 1303 and 1305), was from 1311 judge in Heilbronn, 1314 Mayor and 1330 mayor . Later, in various documents, a Liupold is referred to as a Schulthieß and an old Schultheiß, possibly referring to two people of the same name. The old mayor Liupold and his heirs owned the Maulbronner Hof in Heilbronn, which came to the city of Heilbronn in 1368 when the dynasty declined.

The Liupold coat of arms shows three diamonds standing next to each other .
