Living Stream Ministry (LSM) is an in Anaheim , California , resident evangelical Christian missionary work . It was founded in 1965 by Witness Lee as Stream Publishers . LSM spread the works of Watchman Nee and Witness Lee and the re-obtainment translation (Recovery Version) of the Bible . In Germany LSM is known as “Lebensstrom e. V. "active.

Creed

LSM represents the following creed:

We take the Bible as the complete and only divine revelation, and we firmly believe that God is eternally one and also eternally the Father, the Son, and the Spirit; the three are distinguishable but not separate. We hold to the fact that Christ is both the complete God and the perfect man. Without leaving His Divinity, He was begotten in the body of a human virgin, lived a real human life on earth, and died a vicarious and all-encompassing death on the cross. After three days, He was resurrected in person and ascended to the heavens. He is now in glory, fully God and yet fully human. We await His imminent return with the Kingdom of God, through which He will rule over the earth in the Millennial Kingdom and for eternity. We confess that the third in the Trinity, the Spirit, is also God. Everything that the Father has and is is expressed through the Son; and all that the Son has and is is realized as the Spirit. We also believe that humanity needs God's salvation. Although we were completely unable to meet the high demands of God's righteousness, holiness, and glory, Christ fulfilled all of the demands through His death on the cross. Because of Christ's death, God forgave us our sins, justified us by making Christ our righteousness and reconciling us to Himself. Based on Christ's salvation, God gives birth to the redeemed in His Spirit to complete His salvation so that we can become His children. As believers now possess God's life and nature, they enjoy daily salvation in His body in this age and eternal salvation in the age to come and forever. For eternity we will dwell with God in the New Jerusalem, the consummation of God's salvation for His elect.

activities

Living Stream Ministry aims to spread the teachings of Watchman Nee and Witness Lee. It publishes their works as well as sermons, tracts and materials based on them in printed and digital form and as video and audio productions, produces a regular radio broadcast in the USA and organizes conferences and training courses. Since 1974 an own translation of the Bible has been developed and commented on by Witness Lee. It was published in English as the Recovery Version of the Bible in 1991 and has since been published in a number of other languages. In German there is a translation of the New Testament according to the edition by Nestle-Aland as a “recovery translation”, which was made by the Düsseldorf- based association “Lebensstrom e. V. "is distributed.
