Ljósá in winter

Ljósá [ ˈljɔuːsɔ ] ( Danish name : Lyså , literally: "Licht-Au") is a place in the Faroe Islands in the northeast of the island of Eysturoy . Ljósá is located south of Eiði on the west coast of the island on Sundini . The village was founded in 1840 when the population of the Faroe Islands increased and more agricultural land needed to be developed.
