Lyubomir Dalchev
Lyubomir Christow Daltschew ( Bulgarian Любомир Христов Далчев ; born December 27, 1902 in Saloniki , † July 11, 2002 in Sunnyvale , California ) was a Bulgarian sculptor.
Life
After Daltschew graduated from the Sofia Art Academy in 1926, he studied sculpture at the Art Academy in Rome from 1926 to 1928 . In 1945 he became a professor at the Sofia Art Academy .
His sculptural work took place in different genres and ranged from decorative elements to monumental sculpture. He was awarded the Dimitrov Prize.
Dalchev Cove on Anvers Island in Antarctica has been named after him since 2013 .
