Lloyd Battista

Lloyd McAteer Battista (born May 14, 1937 in Cleveland , Ohio ) is an American actor and screenwriter .

Life

Battista studied acting at Carnegie Tech's Drama School and then worked in a variety of ways. Active on Broadway and off-Broadway, he starred in Chicago in Sexual Perversity and with the Royal Shakespeare Company in The Homecoming. For television, he has appeared in numerous guest appearances for series as well as in the mini-series Texas and about a dozen television films. He starred in the CBS series Love of Life for five years . His supporting roles in films are mainly determined by his collaboration with Tony Anthony , for whose films he was also involved in the scripts. Battista was on the radio between 1974 and 1982 as the spokesman for the "Mystery Theater of the Air". As a voice actor he took over a. a role in Feivel the Mouse Wanderer & Friends .

In addition to his acting activities, he was also active as a director several times; he directed in New York, Pittsburgh and Cleveland as well as for a BBC radio series. In 1996 a book appeared in which Battista worked as a restaurant critic, "The Nose knows".
