description

The elongated, narrow lake is at a height of 52 meters above sea level. Loch Beoraid is aligned almost exactly in an east-west direction and has a length of five kilometers with a maximum width of 520 meters, resulting in a circumference of 14 kilometers. The Allt a'Choire brook, which flows into the short east bank, has a volume of 34,793,396 m³. The catchment area of Loch Beoraid is 30.65 km².

As with the surrounding lakes Loch Eilt and Loch Morar (Scotland's deepest lake), the banks of Loch Beoraid drop steeply, so that despite the small width, the average depth is 22 meters and the maximum depth is 48.5 meters. The Meoble stream flows off the west bank and flows into Loch Morar.

The 710 meter high Meith Bheinn rises up on the north bank , while the 633 meter high Glas-charn is on the south bank.
