Loch Chon is a freshwater lake on the edge of the Scottish Highlands . Loch Chon is about 20 km west of Callander between Loch Lomond and Loch Katrine in Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park in the Stirling Council Area .
Loch Chon is about 2.7 km long and a maximum of 500 m wide. It is 91 m above sea level and is fed by numerous smaller streams. Loch Chon drains via the 4.5 km long Chon Water creek into Loch Ard, which is only about three kilometers southeast . In the southern part of the lake there are two islands.
The lake, in which pike , perch and brown trout can be caught, is a popular fishing spot. The area around the lake regularly attracts many hikers and mountain bikers.
