Loch Fitty is a freshwater lake in the Scottish council area of Fife . It lies between the small towns of Cowdenbeath and Dunfermline . Loch Ore and Loch Gelly are also within a few kilometers .

The lake is at an altitude of 125 meters above sea level. Loch Fitty has an elongated outline with a maximum length of 1.5 kilometers and a maximum width of 520 meters, resulting in an area of 62 hectares and a circumference of four kilometers. A six-kilometer-long stream from the Roscobie Hills flows into its west bank , which has a volume of 1,435,660 kiloliters . The catchment area of Loch Fitty is 1912 hectares. It has an average depth of 2.3 meters and a maximum depth of 4.9 meters. The Lochfitty Burn flows off on the east bank and drains into the Firth of Forth via Ore and Leven .
Loch Fitty has populations of trout and other fish and is popular with anglers.
