Loch of Beith

The Loch of Beith , is a lake ( hole ) in the north of Mainland , the main island of about Scotland scoring Shetlands . Like the Loch of the North Haa , a few hundred meters to the west, it is separated from the southern bay of Burra Voe , part of the Yell Sound , by an Ayre , a pebble beach that takes the form of a spit . Both represent a lagoon . The rectangular lake has the dimensions of 100 by 80 meters, the only tributary is a small stream, the Burn of Stourie, which is about one kilometer long. On the land side are the outskirts of the village of North Roe .
