Lockroy
Lockroy , actually Joseph-Philippe Simon (born February 17, 1803 in Turin , † January 19, 1891 in Paris ), was a French librettist and actor . He later became a member of the Comédie-Française , where he was considered one of the outstanding actors and in 1848 worked as administrateur général .
Since 1840 he has also appeared as a writer of comedies, vaudevilles and opera libretti. His son was the politician Édouard Lockroy .
