Attractant is a dialect rock band from Rupperswil near Aarau .

history

The story of Attractant began in 1993 as “Get Up!”, Which enjoyed regional success. The band then consisted of the brothers Martin and Thomas Garcie, Christian Lüber and Manuel Buchser.

After Sony discovered the band, the band changed their name to "Attractant", as their first CD was called. This brought the band first media attention and first national successes.

In summer 2003, the band said goodbye to bassist Christian Lüber, while drummer Samuel Bär joined the band. In autumn 2004 the bassist Al Schmid and the guitarist Valentin Grendelmeier joined the band, which gives it its current composition. Also in autumn 2004 her second CD was released with Nachtschwimmer .

From March to April 2007, Lockstoff toured as support for Florian Ast on his “Läbeszeiche Tour 2007”.

In 2007, their first single, Schneller Höcher wiiter, was released, which was often played on the radio. The accompanying and thus her third album Yauu! appeared at the end of 2007.

Their single Köbi du besch ned allei for the European Football Championship in 2008 brought criticism to the band, as there were already several songs for the European Football Championship in 2008 and the band was just following one trend.

At the end of 2008, Lockstoff made an appearance on the TV show The Biggest Swiss Hits with the song Schneller Höcher Wiiter .

In 2010 the current studio album Disco was released , but it could not build on the success of its predecessor.
