Lodovico Gasparini

Lodovico Gasparini (* 1948 in Madrid , Spain ) is an Italian director .

Life

Gasparini studied philosophy in France and graduated in political science before turning to film at the Accademia di Arte Drammatica , which he also pursued through courses at the University of Southern California . In 1974 he began as assistant director and editor for Steno , Mario Monicelli and Marco Ferreri, among others . In 1982 he made his debut as a cinema director with the interesting comic Giallo No, grazie, il caffè mi rende nervosa . After Italian Fast Food disappointed four years later , Gasparini turned to television.

There, with Oggi ho vinto anch'io and Voglia di vivere , he made remarkable films on important topics; since the 1990s he has been shooting more commercial material, some of which are very elaborate. His three-hour biography of Soraya received a lot of attention in 2003.
