Loewenfeld mausoleum
The Loewenfeld Mausoleum in Chrzanów , a Polish city in the Lesser Poland Voivodeship , was built from 1898 to 1900. The mausoleum on the municipal cemetery has been a protected cultural monument since 1996 .
The Polish - Austrian entrepreneur and art collector Henryk Loewenfeld (born September 1, 1859 in Warsaw ; † November 4, 1931 in Paris ) had the mausoleum built for his parents in the neoclassical style. The plans were made by the architect Teodor Talowski (1857–1910).
The mausoleum in the form of an aedicula is surmounted by a dome , which is crowned by an iron cross. The triangular gables on all four sides are decorated with acroters .
The builder Henryk Loewenfeld was also buried here.
