The Lohmühle is a desert in the area of ​​the Geiselwinder district of Haag in the Lower Franconian district of Kitzingen . The mill was probably abandoned in the 17th century.

Geographical location

The desert is located northeast of Haag on the Schwarzbach tributary Schwarzbrunnenbach. Another unnamed mill can be found nearby today. Today the state road 2257 runs past the deserted area. North is the corridor location hostage Winder way and the hole bottom to find. The Bucher Berg rises to the northeast. To the east, the Hague Community Wood begins on today's border with the Central Franconia administrative region .

history

The Haager Lohmühle was first mentioned in 1625. At that time it was part of the Ebrach monastery office of the Cistercian monks . Under the entry on Haag there is Peter Hilpert, who received interest from "der mühlen as well as from the Lohmühlen". Two unnamed lakes that still exist today belonged to the mill. Between 1646 and 1661 , first Walther and then his son Bastian Schmidt von der Mühle earned interest. The complex was probably abandoned in the 17th century.
