Anthony Dean O'Connor (born October 25, 1992 in Cork ) is an Irish football player who is under contract with Bradford City .
Career
society
Anthony O'Connor began his professional career as a 16-year-old in the youth of the Blackburn Rovers in England . At the beginning of the second division season 2012/13 he was accepted into the professional squad of the Rovers . There he was, however, without commitment. In August 2012, O'Connor was awarded to the English fourth division club Burton Albion . For the club, he completed all 46 league games in central defense. The preparation for the following season he completed again with the Rovers before he was awarded again. At the fourth division Torquay United he played 31 times, but could not prevent the club from being relegated as bottom of the table. Then O'Connor moved from Blackburn Rovers to Plymouth Argyle also in the 4th division. After one season he moved to Burton Albion where he had already played in 2012/13. With the club, which has now been promoted to the third division, he achieved the second promotion in the 2015/16 season . In June 2016 he moved to the Scottish first division club FC Aberdeen . After two years in Scotland, O'Connor moved to English third division club Bradford City in June 2018 .
National team
Anthony O'Connor played in the Irish national teams of the U-17 , U-19 and U-21 from 2008 to 2013 . With the U-19 he took over in 2011 in the European part of this age group in Romania. He scored two goals in the group game against Greece . In the semifinals he and his team lost 5-0 to eventual winners Spain .
