The local railway tungsten-Teltsch (tschech .: Místní dráha Kostelec-Telč ) was a state-guaranteed local railway - stock company in today's Czech Republic . The route leads from Kostelec u Jihlavy ( Wolframs ) via Telč ( Teltsch ) to Slavonice ( Zlabings ). The company was based in Vienna .

history

On March 30, 1897, “ Wenceslaus Pokolny, Mayor of Telč, in association with Dr. Josef Sobotka, advocate in Teltsch, Karl Schumpeter and Berthold Münch in Triesch granted the requested concession to build and operate a standard-gauge local train from the Wolframs station on the Iglau – Cerekwe state railway via Triesch to Teltsch ” . The license was issued for a period of 75 years. For this period, a return on the investment capital of 4 percent and a maximum of 42,550  florins per year was guaranteed. Part of the concession was also the obligation to start construction of the line immediately and to finish it within a year. In a declaration by the Ministry of Railways on March 20, 1898, the construction period was extended to October 31, 1898. The company's share capital totaled 1,560,000 crowns.

The line was finally opened on August 13, 1898. The operation was carried out by the kk Staatsbahnen (kkStB) on behalf of the local railway Wolframs – Teltsch .

On July 12, 1899, the Wolframs – Teltsch local railway also received the concession to continue the line to Zlabings. On September 7, 1902, this section was opened together with the subsequent route of the Schwarzenau – Zwettl local railway towards Schwarzenau ( Thayatalbahn ). The company continued to operate as the Wolframs – Teltsch local railway .

After the First World War, the newly founded Czechoslovak State Railways (ČSD) took over the management of the kkStB. On January 1, 1925, the Wolframs – Teltsch local railway was nationalized by law and the line was integrated into the ČSD network.

The route operator SŽDC plans a complete renewal of the route between 2021 and 2022, for which two billion crowns are to be invested. After completion, the line speed is to be increased from 50 to 80 km / h.

Locomotives

The operating kkStB procured three locomotives of the kkStB series 97 for the account of the local railway Wolframs – Teltsch . The locomotives had the road numbers 97.128, 97.129 and 97.219. The ČSD gave them the new numbers 310.045, 310.046 and 310.0112 in 1924. The 310.0112 was sold to a construction company in 1953, the other two were retired in 1960 and 1963.
