Lokros (son of Zeus)
Lokros ( Greek Λοκρός ) is a figure in Greek mythology .
Lokros was a son of Zeus and Maira . Maira, the daughter of the Sisyphus grandson Proitus with Anteia , was a companion of Artemis and therefore committed to a virgin life. When the birth of Lokros revealed that she had lost her virginity, she was shot by Artemis.
Lokros was considered one of the mythical founders of the seven-gate Thebes , which he built together with Amphion and Zethos .
