The Lolli-Gambit , also called the wild Muzio-Gambit , is an opening variant from the game of chess , which results from the King Jumper's Gambit .

This gambit was named after the Italian chess player Giambattista Lolli .

The moves are
1. e2 – e4 e7 – e5
2. f2 – f4 e5xf4
3. Ng1 – f3 g7 – g5
4. Bf1 – c4 g5 – g4
5. Bc4xf7 +

The ECO code is C37.

This gambit was first played by Gioachino Greco in 1620.

Because of 5.… Ke8xf7 6. Nf3 – e5 + black queen's chess on h4 of the Salvio gambit is avoided. Because Kf7 – e6 is too dangerous because of 7. Qd1xg4 + Ke6xe5 8. d2 – d4 + or 8. Qg4 – f5 + Ke5 – d6 9. d2 – d4.

6.… Kf7 – e8 7. Qd1xg4 Ng8 – f6 8. Qg4xf4 d7 – d6 is the safest answer .
