The Lomami at Katopa Camp

The Lomami is a 1,450 km long left tributary of the Congo in the Democratic Republic of the Congo .

It rises in the south of the DR Congo in the province of Haut-Lomami . From its source , which is north of the Lunda wave and west of Kamina , the Lomami flows mostly north. Via Opala it reaches Isangi , after which it flows into the Congo .

The Lomami is navigable in the lower reaches .
