The Lompobatang or Moncong Lompobatang is a 2874 m high extinct volcano on the Indonesian island of Sulawesi . It is located around 80 kilometers southeast of Makassar in the Sulawesi Selatan province in the district ( Kabupaten ) Gowa . The mountain ranks 116th worldwide in terms of prominence . On the somewhat lower secondary peak Puncak Kohbang / Ko'bang ( 2870 m ) there is, according to legend, the tomb of a king of Gowa .
