features

The flies reach a body length of 2.0 to 3.0 millimeters. Your body is slim and cylindrical. At the thorax and abdomen, a dark stripe runs along the back of the center. The posterodorsal bristle on the rails ( tibia ) of the middle legs is noticeably shorter than the dorsal bristle. On the tibia of the front legs there is a dorsal bristle in the basal and one in the apical third. No posterodorsal bristles are formed there. The species can only be determined reliably on the basis of genital morphological examinations.

The animals are widespread throughout the Palearctic. They can be found in grassy areas, from the lowlands to the mountains.
