London Can Take It! is a British short film released in 1940.

The reporter Quentin Reynolds comments on the bravery and moral courage with which the people of London withstood the bombing by the German air force during the Second World War. The emergency situation and the perseverance of the residents are documented with film recordings showing the use of fire brigades , destroyed buildings, the use of anti-aircraft guns and air raid shelters.

According to documentation from the National Archive in London (TNA: INF6 / 328), Warner Bros. took over distribution in the USA, Canada and Latin America. The film should be shown in over 15,000 US theaters. It is estimated that about 60 million people in the United States saw the film during the late autumn of 1940.

Awards

In 1941 the film was nominated for an Oscar in the Best Short Film (One-Reel) category.
