London View Management Framework

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The London View Management Framework is a planning document from the Greater London Authority .

The document, adopted in 2007 and extensively amended in 2010, is a response to efforts to build numerous new high-rise buildings in the city, such as the Heron Tower , 30 St Mary Ax and The Shard . The document defines buildings that occupy a prominent position in the London skyline - such as St Paul's Cathedral , Buckingham Palace or the Tower of London , and a total of 25 lines of sight from which the view of these buildings must be uninterrupted.
