The Long Beach Dub Allstars is an American reggae - Dub - band , which was founded in 1997, disbanded in 2002 and reunited since 2012 found.

Eric Wilson and Bud Gaugh met in kindergarten in the early 1980s and later formed their first garage punk band. In 1988 they founded Sublime with Brad Nowell . After Nowell died of a heroin overdose in 1996, Gaugh and Wilson founded the Long Beach Dub Allstars (LBDAS).

After the Long Beach Dub Allstars disbanded in 2002, Wilson founded the band Long Beach Shortbus with guitarist RAS-1 , which musically linked to the sound of the Long Beach Dub Allstars. Gaugh founded the short-lived alternative rock project Eyes Adrift with Krist Novoselic from Nirvana and Chris Kirkwood from the Meat Puppets .

The song "Sunny Hours" featuring Will.i.am by the Black Eyed Peas from their second album Wonders Of The World was the theme song from Friends spin-off Joey .
