The Long Heights are a 13 km long collection of hills on Alexander I Island west of the Antarctic Peninsula . They tower on the southern edge of the Finlandia Foothills .
The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee named it in 2018. It is named after the Chinese龙 ( long ) for dragon .
