The Loobu River (Estonian: Loobu jõgi ; historical German name: Loop ) is a river in Estonia . Its length is 62 km. Its catchment area is 308 km². Larger tributaries are the Udriku Stream and the Läsna River .

The river has its source in the Pandivere ridge , flows through the village of Kadrina and flows into the Gulf of Finland near Vihasoo ( Kuusalu municipality ) in the Bay of Eru . At its lower reaches the river flows through the Lahemaa National Park .
