Lord Blantyre
Lord Blantyre was a hereditary British title in the Peerage of Scotland . The name of the title refers to Blantyre Priory in Lanarkshire .
Historic family houses of the Lords were Erskine House in Renfrewshire , Lennoxlove House in East Lothian and Place of Cardonald in Renfrewshire.
Award
The title was awarded on July 10, 1606 to the Scottish politician and lawyer Sir Walter Stewart .
The title expired on the death of his great-great-great-great-great-grandson, the 12th Lord, on December 5, 1900.
