Lords of the Realm is a computer game by Impressions Games from 1994. It is a genre mix of turn-based strategy game and real-time strategy . The programmers were Simon Bradbury , David Lester and Chris Foster.

action

The game deals with the Kingdom of England , optionally also the Holy Roman Empire in 1268. The king's throne is orphaned and nobles are fighting over the succession to the throne. The player takes on one of six nobles who are fighting for power in the kingdom. In doing so, he has to whip up his land, which he owns at the beginning of the game, take care of the well-being of his subjects, regulate agriculture, mine raw materials, stimulate the economy, raise troops and build castles for defense. If these requirements are met, the player can take care of the capture of the enemy counties or lands by defeating the enemy armies, taking provincial capitals and besieging castles . The player carries out the construction and economic part on a turn-based basis, while field battles and sieges take place in real time . Alliances are possible, but later you have to get rid of all princes in order to win the game.
