Lorenzo Raimundo Parodi

Lorenzo Raimundo Parodi (born January 23, 1895 in Pergamino , † April 21, 1966 in Buenos Aires ) was an Argentine agricultural engineer and botanist . Its official botanical author abbreviation is " Parodi ".

Live and act

Lorenzo Raimundo Parodi was the first explorer of the flora of Paraguay . He specialized in the plant family of grasses (Gramineae). From 1934 to 1962 he was editor of the magazine Revista Argentina de Agronomía .

Honors

In 1942 Parodi was elected to the American Academy of Arts and Sciences .
