Lorenzo Simonetti
Lorenzo Simonetti (born May 27, 1789 in Rome , † January 6, 1855 there ) was a cardinal of the Catholic Church .
Simonetti started his church career as a substitute for the State Secretariat . Pope Gregory XVI appointed him cardinal in pectore in July 1844 , the appointment was published in April of the following year. Simonetti participated in the conclave of 1846 that Pope Pius IX. he chose. At his funeral mass Pius IX took. personally.
