Lorenzo Sonognini (born January 10, 1970 ; resident in Sonogno ) is a Swiss museum director and environmental consultant.

Life

The Ticino Lorenzo Sonognini was at the ETH Zurich in 1995 in Environmental Sciences graduate. In 2005 he graduated with an Executive Master of Business Administration . From 1996 to 2011 he worked as an environmental consultant.

From 2011 to 2017 Sonognini was director of the Monte Verità Foundation , which operates the congress and cultural center. In this role he managed renovation projects of several buildings on the site, in particular the Casa Anatta museum with the extensive exhibition The Breasts of Truth by Harald Szeemann . The house was closed for eight years because of its poor structural condition. Sonognini organized many events on the Monte Verità on philosophical, psychological and scientific topics.

Sonognini has been President of the Val Verzasca Ethnographic Museum since 2011 and Vice President of the Verzasca Foundation since 2007.

As a musician, he has released three CDs in the style of progressive rock with the group Zenit .
