Lost Lake is a natural lake in the Mount Hood National Forest in the US state of Oregon .
The lake is located 16 kilometers northwest of the three-thousanders Mount Hood in Hood River County and 42 kilometers southwest of the city of Hood River .
The surface of the lake is about 100 hectares. Brook trout , trout , sockeye salmon , rainbow trout , crayfish , otters and beavers live in the lake .
There is a campground on the waterfront managed by the Mt. Hood National Forest . Seven log cabins are also available for rent.
