Lost World was a German punk band from Karlsruhe , which was founded in September 1996 by Dieter, Gülle, Hannes and Tati and disbanded in August 2000.
style
Musically, Lost World could best be described as an anarcho / hardcore punk band. The classification is a bit difficult because Lost World had very melodic parts in their songs on the one hand, but also had heavier, crusty songs on the other .
The songs were primarily in English or German, but pieces with Italian singing were also included.
The band's trademarks were the voice of the singer Tati, the incisive, idiosyncratic bass playing by Gülle, who wrote all the songs with a few exceptions, and the unusual breaks for the style. This idiosyncratic change between melodic, partly calm and crusty parts made the style of Lost World something special and has had a lasting influence on various other bands in this scene.

- There are also three other songs that were recorded only for these records and can be heard on samplers.
Projects of the band members
- Before Lost World, Tati played in Day By Day and Animal Bondage and then in various other punk bands, including His Iro Is Gone, Tourette Syndrom, Endrophobia, Apocalipstix and Insonnia. Since 2014 she has been playing guitar and singing with Neurotic Existence from Bremen.
- Stefan was also with His Iro is gone and plays with the bands WWK, Nervous Assistant and the punk karaoke band Gorilla Beerkids.
- Dieter played drums for Fleischkreuzer (until 1999) and the Screamo band at the end of October.
- Hannes is active as a drummer for Post War Depression and The Bone Idles and as a guitarist for late October and Tresckow.
