Lothar Enderlein

Lothar Enderlein (born July 6, 1880 in Dresden , † May 14, 1942 in Rähnitz-Hellerau ) was a German educator and local researcher.

Life

Enderlein was the son of the accounting inspector of the Royal Saxon State Railroad Paul Robert Enderlein and his wife Ida Bianca nee. Schreyer. He was a student of Rudolf Kötzschke and a doctorate in this for Dr. phil.

As a teacher, Enderlein devoted himself increasingly to studies in the fields of cultural history, Saxon regional history and settlement studies. In addition, he presented several publications, including his comprehensive work on property, rule formation and settlement history of the Grünhain monastery in the Western Ore Mountains . Enderlein last lived in Rähnitz-Hellerau , where he died in 1942. His written estate is administered in the Saxon Main State Archives in Dresden .
