Lothar Neukirchner

Lothar Neukirchner (born May 26, 1959 ) is a former German motorcycle racer .

He is the father of Max Neukirchner , who competed in the Superbike World Championship from 2005 to 2013 .

Career

Lothar Neukirchner competed in the motorcycle road championship of the GDR until reunification . In 1987, 1988 and 1989, starting for the MC Wismut Aue , he won the title in the 250 cm³ class of the GDR championship , and in 1990 he was runner-up.

In 1994 Neukirchner competed in five races in the motorcycle world championship on a Harris- Yamaha . His best placement was 19th place at the German Grand Prix at the Hockenheimring .

After his active career, Lothar Neukirchner promoted the career of his son Max and ran his own team in the International German Motorcycle Championship .
