Lothar Strehlau

Lothar Strehlau (born October 14, 1944 ) is a former German soccer coach .

Career as a coach

After Horst Franz was released from KSC at the end of January 1983, a new trainer had to be found for the team. Well-known coaches such as Friedel Rausch , Rudi Gutendorf and Max Merkel turned down offers, so assistant coach Strehlau should take over the team until the end of the season. The then Minister of Education, Gerhard Mayer-Vorfelder, assured him that he would then be able to take up his post in school again. The team was relegated at the end of the season.

Others

From 1965 to 2009 Strehlau was a physical education teacher at the secondary school in Durmersheim . Today he runs a football school.
