Lothar Stricksner (born April 21, 1926 ) is a former German soccer player who played 55 games for Turbine / Chemie Halle between 1951 and 1958 in the GDR Oberliga , the top division of GDR soccer .

Athletic career

With only one match in the GDR league on November 11, 1951, Lothar Stricksner was GDR football champion of the 1951/52 season with the company sports community (BSG) Turbine Halle. While in 1952/53 he also only had a league assignment as a substitute for 45 minutes, he was used in seven point games in the season 1953/54, but this was only due to the fact that two injured players had to be replaced. Also in 1954/55 Stricksner benefited from the failure of two defenders and was regularly used as a right defender from the fifth game on. Of the 26 played point games, he was able to play 18 games. At the beginning of this season, the football section of the BSG Turbine was transferred to the newly founded SC Chemie Halle-Leuna, and at the end of the season the team had to relegate the second-rate GDR league . In the fall of 1955, she had to complete a 13-game transition round, which was used to switch to the calendar year game rhythm in GDR football. This time Stricksner managed to participate in all games. In the GDR league season in 1956, the setback came for him immediately, because he was only used in two point games and also missed the final of the GDR soccer cup, which Halle won 2-1 over ZASK Vorwärts Berlin . The SC Chemie succeeded in returning to the league immediately, but Stricksner could only be called up towards the end of the 1957 season for five point games. He played most of his season point games in 1958, when he played 23 of the 26 league games, always used as a right defender. When the Halleers had to relegate again after the 1958 season, Lothar Stricksner ended his career in higher-class football.
