Lotte Lehmann (swimmer)
Charlotte Emma "Lotte" Lehmann married . Sprössig (born October 3, 1906 in Dresden , † unknown) was a German swimmer and Olympic participant.
Life
In 1925 she won the German championship over 100 m freestyle as a swimmer from Poseidon Dresden .
In 1927 she started at the European Championships in Bologna , where she won two bronze medals:
- over 100 m freestyle in 1: 16.1 min. behind Maria Vierdag from the Netherlands (gold in 1: 15.0 min.) and the British Joyce Cooper (silver in 1: 15.0 min.)
- with the 4 × 100 m freestyle relay (team: Lotte Lehmann, Anni Rehborn , Marianne Schmidt and Reni Erkens ) in 5: 12.8 minutes behind the Netherlands (gold in 5: 11.0 minutes) and Great Britain (silver in 5: 11.6 min.)
She also competed in the 1928 Olympic Games in Amsterdam . In the 100 m freestyle she came in 1: 15.2 minutes in eighth and last place, and in the 400 m freestyle she failed in the run-up. With the 4 × 100 m freestyle relay (team: Lotte Lehmann, Herta Wunder , Irmintraut Schneider and Reni Erkens) she finished fourth in 5: 14.4 minutes, one second behind the third-placed South Africans (gold went to the Season from the USA , which swam the undisputed world record in 4: 47.6 minutes).
