Shortly before, on July 1, 2012, the second State Treaty on Gaming (“GlüStV”) came into force, which lifted the online sales ban of the first GlüStV (2008) for state lotteries. In September 2012, Lotto24 was one of the first private providers to receive state approval for online lottery sales, which was followed in March 2013 by advertising approval for TV and the Internet. Both permits were extended accordingly. In 2014, Lotto24 was the first online lottery provider in Germany to publish mobile apps for iOS and Android , with which lottery players can submit their tips via smartphone and tablet . In May 2019, Lotto24 was taken over by ZEAL Network SE and has been part of the ZEAL Group since then.
