Lotuma

Lotuma (also: Luatofito ) is a small uninhabited island in the Tongan archipelago of Vavaʻu .

geography

Lotuma is a motu in the Ava Pulepulekai Channel , deep in the heart of Vavaʻu. The island is north of ʻUtungake and at the entrance to Mount Talau National Park . In the opposite bay at Vaimalo are the islands of Nuapuli and Kolotahi .

climate

The climate is tropical hot, but is tempered by constantly blowing winds. Like the other islands in the Vavaʻu group, Lotuma is occasionally hit by cyclones .
