Loubna Benhadja (born February 11, 2001 ) is an Algerian hurdler who has specialized in the 400 meter hurdles .

Athletic career

Loubna Benhadja gained her first international experience in 2017 at the U18 World Championships in Nairobi , where she was eliminated in the first round with 61.41 seconds. She then won the Arab Youth Championships in Radès in 12.79 s in the 100-meter run and won the silver medal over the hurdles in 62.35 s. The following year she was eliminated from the U20 World Championships in Tampere with 61.24 s in the lead and won the silver medal at the African Youth Games in Algiers in 60.79 s. This qualified her for the Youth Olympic Games , where she also won the silver medal. In 2019 she won the bronze medal at the Arab Championships in Cairo in 59.21 seconds behind the Bahraini Aminat Yusuf Jamal and the Moroccan Lamiae Lhabze . At the Junior African Championships in Abidjan she won the bronze medal in 59.18 s and at the African Games in Rabat she was eliminated with 61.04 s in the first round.

In 2019 Benhadja became Algerian champion in the 400 meter hurdles.
