Louis Armand II. De Bourbon (born November 10, 1695 in Paris ; † May 4, 1727 there ) was a French nobleman and prince of Conti .

Life

Louis Armand II was born to François Louis de Bourbon and his wife Marie Thérèse de Bourbon and was ailing throughout his life. He served in the War of the Spanish Succession under Marshal Villars , but could never match his father's military successes. Even so, he became a field marshal in 1713 . He was also governor of the Poitous and a member of the government and council of war.

When Law's stock fraud collapsed , he became very rich.

Marriage and offspring

In 1713 he married his cousin Louise Élisabeth de Bourbon (1693-1775), daughter of the Prince of Condé . Of their children, the following survived:

  1. Louis François (1717–1776), Prince of Conti
  2. Louise Henriette (1726–1759), married since 1743 to Louis Philippe de Bourbon , Duke of Orléans
