Louis le Roy
Louis Guillaume le Roy (born October 31, 1924 in Amsterdam ; † July 15, 2012 in Oranjewoud near Heerenveen ) was a Dutch architect and " eco- pioneer".

He is an author a. a. of the book Nature off - switch on nature , published in the Netherlands in 1973 .
Le Roy has become internationally known for its unconventional open space design. The work on his eco-cathedral in Mildam (Netherlands) is outstanding . Together with his wife Inge, he founded the ZEIT Foundation in 2001 so that work on the eco-cathedral in Mildam and other eco-cathedrals can be continued in future generations. Le Roy was an honorary member of the Deutscher Werkbund and honorary professor for ecology and experimental environmental design in the architecture course at the TU Braunschweig. In 2007 le Roy received the Gerrit Benner Prize for fine arts for his life's work.
