Louis Ugona

Louis Ugona (born September 24, 1911 in Marseille , † November 19, 1998 ibid) was a French football player .

Career

Ugona began playing football as a youth at the amateur club Aciéries Nord from Marseille; the club's jersey was worn by the defender from 1928 to 1929. He then moved to the large city club Olympique Marseille , where he was only intended for the second team. In this he stayed for several years before he made his professional debut on April 21, 1935 in a 4-1 win against Stade Rennes , when he ran up for the first selection in the French top division. On May 12 of the same year, the then 23-year-old played his second and last game in the league. In the same year, his team won the national cup competition, but Ugona itself had no part. At the end of the 1934/35 season he returned to his ex-club Aciéries Nord; a year later, his football career ended.
