from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Louischen is a polka- french by Johann Strauss Sohn (op. 339). The work was first performed on September 22, 1869 in Pavlovsk , Russia.

Remarks

The polka was created in the summer of 1869 during the composer's trip to Russia. It was premiered under the name Nitschewo-Polka . The work then appeared in Vienna under its current name. However, it is not known who was given the new name in honor. In 1899, Adolf Müller used music from the polka when he compiled the operetta Wiener Blut based on motifs by Johann Strauss (son). In the operetta you can hear the music in the performance song of the servant Josef (Anna! Anna! Anna! I'm looking there now) .

The playing time on the CD listed under itemization is 3 minutes and 45 seconds. This time can vary somewhat depending on the conductor's musical conception.
